RestorationsRestorations and repairs are both part of the same family but it is our belief that they differ in some respects. Where a repair involves fixing a problem in the best or most economical fashion , a restoration involves returning problem areas to their original conditions; same material, same size , same location. Barefoot Wooden Boats is happy to do both. As is often the case in a repair a compromise must be made between the best and most economical solution. Our experience and training offers insights into what works and what doesn't. We have done restorations and repairs on all sorts of boats including Dories, dinghy's, speed boats, cruisers, fish boats, packers, tugs, and race boats.
