| New BuildBarefoot Wooden Boats specialize in traditionally styled custom wooden boats built with either traditional or composite construction. Our most recent build was a blend of both, with a stitch and glue plywood bottom and copper riveted red cedar lapstrake topsides. We are currently building another one of these boats for ourselves for use in the rental fleet. We commissioned this design from Tad Roberts and have been very pleased with its building and performance. Other boats we have built include Ratty, a 20 ft glue lap ply cat ketch that Tad Roberts designed and commissioned us to build for him and his family (discussed in Wooden Boat magazine issue # 175) , a couple of plywood prams, an Ian Outred Acorn modified for traditional construction and a 15 ft Ted Brewer designed glued lap plywood runabout.
