The Pogi Class

Squirt was designed by Tad Roberts as a 2 person sailer with good rowing qualities.  She carries 80 sq. ft. of sail.  She was launched April 10, 2004 and lived up to all expectations and exceeded some.

Construction

Hull : Riveted Lapstrake  western red cedar above the waterline. Glued 1/4 mahogany marine  plywood with bottom sheathed with kevlar and epoxy.

Black Locust Oarlocks

Fastenings : Silicone bronze and copper for exposed fastenings and S.S. for sealed

Finish : Special oil mix - Bright finish. Plywood sealed in epoxy resin and painted with polyurethane.
