Educational Programs

Build Your Own Boat

Always wanted to  build a wooden boat and gain valuable work experience . Pick the boat of your dreams up to 16ft and we'll help you achieve your dream.

We are not a school but a working boat shop environment providing an outlet, shop tooling and tutouring so you can build a small traditional boat.

While building your own boat, you will learn all aspects of wooden boat building including lofting, mold building, planking, framing, spar making, fitting and finishing.

This is a full time program and requires your commitment and time. Length of build varies for each individual boat. A 12 foot boat is estimated to take three months

Cost of build varies for size and type of boat. For example a 12ft traditional lapstrake sailing skiff would average $9000-$12,000 cdn. Contact us to discuss your personal dream.

This is a four year programs. It consists of work experience with four levels of theory training.
