Barefoot Wooden Boats is an innovative company offering an alternative to products and services currently available on Canada's West coast. Only minutes away from downtown Nanaimo and downtown Vancouver , Barefoot Wooden Boats is situated in Silva Bay , Gabriola Island . Gabriola is one of many beautiful and remote Gulf Islands accessible by a short public ferry ride from Nanaimo , or a quick float plane ride from Vancouver. Barefoot Wooden Boats offers one stop shopping for wooden boat building , restoration , repair , rentals and adventure charters.

Silva Bay Marina's new docks display much of the Barefoot Wooden Boat adventure fleet. A short row from the docks will take you to Barefoot Wooden Boats 32 ft Trimaran. Here you will receive an introduction to your boat and the area. You can choose from one of our many , traditionally styled , hand crafted wooden boats.  Barefoot Wooden Boats offers packages for every wooden boat owner or enthusiast.

Barefoot Wooden Boats will perform both restorations and new builds. You will find the Barefoot Wooden Boats workshop approximately one km from Silva Bay along North rd. A one minute drive or a 15 minute walk will bring you to the Barefoot Wooden Boats'  building , restoration and repair facilities. Here you will find qualified , experienced , professionally trained wooden boat specialists. Quill Goldman and Richard Lyons are both graduates of the Silva Bay Shipyard School and are experienced in all aspects of wooden boat construction , restoration and repair.
